After an upbringing of proper behavior and oppressive expectations, Aralorn fled her noble birthright for a life of adventure as a mercenary spy. Her latest mission involves spying on the increasingly powerful sorcerer Geoffrey ae'Magi. But in a war against an enemy armed with the powers of illusion, how do you know who the true enemy is-or where he will strike next?

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

Taking a look back at my first hauls posted about 4 years ago and seeing if I actually read what I buy.

One is picture is from my trip to Alcatraz and the other is from a Black Friday bookstore trip. And it turns out I do actually read the books I buy.

The Temeraire Series took the longest as I just picked it up this year and is technically still a current read because I‘ve only read the first book in this bind up.

I could definitely tell this was her debut novel. That being said though I was able to find her voice in it still. I really enjoyed it and can‘t wait to get my hands on the rest of the series.

I read this for my Acceptable in Ancient Runes.

Mehso-so

I will admit that reading Masques was hard at the start. There was not much in the way of world setup, character development, or thematic significance. The plot was pretty straightforward & was simple, nothing that wowed me or drew me in. What I did like was Aralorn & Wolf‘s relationship. If you like simple fantasy then Masques would be a book you would enjoy. .…See the full review at www.thegenreminx.com #bookreviewer #TheGenreMinxBookReviews

This is Patricia Briggs' #DebutNovel. I read the original version when I was in high school and was excited to read the revised version and ecstatic to read the sequel years later! It's a great story with a strong female MC and I love the relationship between Aralorn and Wolf!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 #Booktober
