This series started as a fun sci-fi time travel story for me, which that alone was enough to make me love it. Then as the series goes on it shows surprising depth. In issues 7-9 the girls confront 2016 technology, politics, current events, the fate of their future, in fast snippets and have to figure out how to process them. The difference that stood out for me is how mental illness is viewed in 1988 vs. 2016. 🗞👽📰 #HelloOctober
