It was very interesting to see what it would be like if Iruma joined the student council! The “villain” of this volume was super annoying so hopefully they don‘t show up again anytime soon 😅

so-soThe comparison to Knives Out definitely drew me in. When Ruby and Wren are offered $2K to pretend to be an old woman's granddaughters for a dinner party, they agree - but when the host keeps over dead and they end up trapped on the property with all the other guests who are revealed to be witches, tasked with solving the murder, they admit they are over their heads. Some annoying insta-romance, but I found the world building intriguing.
pickWell this just got very complicated and interesting.
Lots more questions than answers in this volume and honestly I'm not surprised to see that Philomena is at the center of this arc-unfortunately I feel it just takes away from Chise but I'm intrigued to see how these arcs are all connected.
Also that's such an illegal cliffhanger!

It was fun to see how the rest of the Battler Party played out! I really enjoy these characters and look forward to the rest of this series!
pickNothing like reading in the park which is what we found ourselves doing at the weekend and this tye 7th in the merrily Watkins series finds the diocesan exorcist faced with the mystery of an apparent suicide from the tower in ludlow Castle mirroring that of a famous haunting (apparently true tale). Usual enjoyable story.

Volume 4 was a tad less heartwarming compared to the previous three volumes of the series, however it was very action-packed and had a bit of a plot twist. I‘m very interested to see how the next book continues this cliffhanger!

I feel like every time I go to sit down and read a book in this series, I end up devouring it all in one sitting. I‘m a big fan of this series so far and can‘t wait to read the next one!

Volume 2 did not disappoint, and I‘m really enjoying all of the characters! Personal favorite now includes the student council president whose goal is to prove that Iruma is human…..by having him translate manga that she can‘t read and secretly loves in the form of “forbidden tomes”. I can‘t wait to see how Iruma‘s journey continues from here.
pickLove the art style and I‘m so glad that more Webtoons are getting physical publications. Ellie discovers she‘s a psychic and gets hired by Ichabod, a pumpkin headed paranormal investigator, to be his partner in investigating all that goes bump in the night. Fast read, lovable characters, can‘t wait to get my hands on volume two!
