Apocrypha
Apocrypha | Carroll Wainwright
The world has ended. Little life remains on Earth and what life does remain is strange and monstrous. The sun hasn’t shone in years for the clouds which never go away. Humanity is all but extinct. Sinister and unknown sounds commence after dark, driving what few humans are left to the brink of madness. One can wake up after sleeping to discover they possess memories of entire lives that are not the one they are living. Oblivion is the only future. In this dismal wasteland there wanders a lone crusader known only as Roland: the last knight. Guided in his dreams by a mysterious Priestess whose nature is beyond him, he is on a quest. A quest for a Book. A Book that will reveal the secrets of existence. Contending with monsters, cannibals, and his own fraying mind, Roland must find the Book that is the sole reason for which he still lives. He must find it and read it and know the truth about the world in which he dwells. A truth so great that he in unsure he is even prepared to reckon it.
