Time has not been kind to sleepy Dorset Falls, Connecticut, where an erstwhile resident is hoping to bring a tattered yarn shop back to lifebut with a murderer on the loose, the whole town is in knots . . . Josie Blair left Dorset Falls twelve years ago in hopes of making it big in New York City. But after earning an overpriced masters degree and getting fired by a temperamental designer, she finds herself heading back to her hometown. Her great-uncle was injured in a car accident, and newly unemployed Josie is the only person available to take care of him. Uncle Ebs wife didnt survive the crash, so Josie is also tasked with selling the contents of her Aunt Coras yarn shop. But the needling ladies of the Charity Knitters Association pose a far bigger challenge than a shop full of scattered skeins . . . Miss Marple Knits is one of the few businesses still open in the dreary downtown. Josie cant imagine how it stayed open for so long, yet something about the cozy, resilient little shop appeals to her. But when one of the towns most persnickety knitters turns up dead in a pile of cashmere yarn, Josie realizes theres something truly twisted lurking beneath the towns decaying faade . . . INCLUDES ORIGINAL KNITTING PATTERNS! A tale of murder and intrigue that will ensnare knitters and non-knitters alike. I couldnt put it down.Barbara Ross

Mehso-so

This was my first cozy mystery - it was cute but I‘m not really sold on the genre yet. I did love that the author included thematically appropriate knitting patterns at the end!

Makers of Litsy! By show of likes and/or comments, would anyone be interested in a bookish yarn swap? If enough people show an interest, I will sort out the details. The swap would probably take place early 2022. #makersoflitsy #knittersoflitsy #crochetersoflitsy #audioknitting #audiocrocheting #crochet #knitting #maker #HookersOfLitsy

megnews I‘m not a #makerofLitsy but after reading The Sewing Machine together I found some who are and I‘m tagging them here in case they‘re interested but don‘t see it. @CogsOfEncouragement @crazeedi @CoffeeNBooks @Tattooedteacher @roary47 @Readswithcoffee 2y
SeaToSkyes @megnews thank you! ☺️ 2y
julesG Interesting idea. I'd love to join, but I've become a yarn snob. 😬 Also, we do use the cheeky #HookersOfLitsy sometimes. 😉 2y

SeaToSkyes @julesG understandable! I was thinking about including a question for favorite yarn brands in the form. I'll edit my post to include that tag, thanks! ☺️ 2y
Roary47 I wish! I‘m still trying to wrap my head around yarn making. I‘m into cross-stitch if you are including that. 😊💛 2y
SeaToSkyes @Roary47 I may include that! Make it an all-inclusive maker swap...that would be fun! 2y
StayCurious I cross stitch so would love that to be included:) 2y
Crazeedi I don't do crochet or knitting but I do cross stitch and of course sewing things so if it includes, I'd be interested 2y
SeaToSkyes @StayCurious @Crazeedi I may have to rethink things then! I'll make an update post once I sort everything out. 2y
Crazeedi @SeaToSkyes totally fine, the yarn idea is great for a lot of people I'm sure. You don't want to make it too crazy for yourself 2y

This cozy mystery about a yarn store in a small town started heating up with people‘s secrets last night and this girl stayed up too late. Need more coffee today 😴☕️
