Pickpick

This is the true story of how Mawi and his family fled from Ethiopia to a refugee camp in Sudan, where they stayed until they were able to come to America. With the encouragement of his parents, he worked hard in school and earned a scholarship to Harvard.

This was recommended to me by a colleague recently, who suggested that my reading classes might like it. It was a really good book, and I think my students are really going to like it.

The newest memoir added to my collection. Another credit money purchase and one I found on the high school summer reads table.
