I really dislike it to DNF on book that my Hubby gave me. But actually he was the one recommending to stop reading the book. Because if you have no connection or whatsoever you'll get lost in this work. It's not like with my first Warhammer book, where I had no clue what was going on, but could identify the characters, the plot and soon as well the background story. This is impossible to do here, ⬇

Jari-chan which makes sense, since War Crimes is a volume 13 in a whole series... So if you're interested into entering the WOW bookish world, you might want to start with another book. Even if you already have known the game. Maybe start with volume 1 in the series... 2y

It was good for me to learn the beginning story of the Orcs. I play WoW and am planning of working my way through all the books to learn the history and lore behind a game I love so much!

A quick and fun read, the base for the World of Warcraft movie, this book was entertaining even though it took place almost exclusively in a library in a tower. This is a must read for every WoW fan but my presumption that people who didn't play the game wouldn't enjoy it as much. All the little hints to the game details are great and fun (like Murlocks). I will definitely read more from this world in the future.

Listening intently, the villagers finally realized the strange new sound came from the water. Rushing to the shore, they peered out into the fog, trying to pierce its gloom. What was this noise, and what did it bring with it?

I found this to be a slow read, I am sure a bunch of parts could have been shortened without cutting anything out of the plot but it was still nice to get a glimpse into the story behind the lore rich games I grew up with. I don't think I would recommend it to someone who is simply looking for new fantasy books to read but if you want to know more about the Warcraft lore go for it.

I can't wait to learn the lore of World of Warcraft. I've been playing the game since 2012 and with Classic coming out... thought it was time to learn the story!
