I absolutely adore everything about the Miss Marple adaptations. Joan Hickson is The Best! From the opening credits (and especially the music), I know I'm in for a treat every single time. Lately I've had these on in the background while I'm reading, and it's been such a comforting soundtrack to listen to.
Do you have anything like this, that you like to have on in the background while you're reading? Golden Girls are another fave of mine.

rabbitprincess Yes! Joan Hickson is the perfect Marple. I haven't liked the more recent adaptations because they deviate unnecessarily from the source material. 7y
LauraBrook @rabbitprincess Yes, yes, yes, I agree 100%! They're fine, and I enjoy seeing some of my current favorite Brit actors pop up in them, but Ms Joan IS Miss Marple! Kind of like how David Suchet just IS Poirot - I like the others just fine, but no one can surpass him. 7y
