The scariest scene from a book that comes to memory is from the story 1922, in Full Dark, No Stars. All I will say is: big, nasty, flesh eating rats. It's not okay. The only thing that could be worse would be big, nasty, flesh eating frogs. I hate frogs. Ugh, I just made myself nauseous talking about rats and frogs. Well, that took an odd turn.
