Thanks to #LMPBC I can finally check this off my TBR list.. It took me a little bit to get used to the writing style. But once I did, I found it to be raw, poignant and beautiful. A dark story about slavery and racism that will continue to haunt you long after you‘ve put it down. I found myself going back to it multiple times looking for... something. I don‘t know what.. maybe clues to answers for the questions in my head and heart.
