#DearDecember @Eggs
#HonorableCharacter

These books represent the fiction and nonfiction genres. Both of the MCs in them have a strong sense of honor. In A Gentleman in Moscow, Count Rostov conducts himself by the gentleman's code of honor. In Beneath a Scarlet Sky, Pino Lella acts honorably even though in doing so he puts his life at risk.

Eggs Excellent 👏🏻👏🏻 I did read Beneath a Scarlet Sky but not the Moscow 4y
TheSpineView @Eggs It is one of my all time favorites. 4y

Day 13 - #HonorableCharacter #DearDecember

In Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, Atticus doesn't specifically give a literal definition of honor. However, he does define courage, and based on his definition of courage and his actions, we can deduce what he sees as honorable.

Huntress | Kate Quinn

Bold and fearless, Russian Nazi-fighting bomber pilot Nina Markova had a shitty childhood/adolescence at the hands of her violent father. But she risks everything to bring justice and truth to WW2 victims of a lethal, vicious Nazi murderer known as The Huntress.

#DearDecember Day 13: This story was inspired by a legend about an #HonorableCharacter, “a Jewish poet Samuel Ha-Nagid, who was the vizier (highest royal advisor) in Muslim Granada, a city in Spain.” I was intrigued by his life, his poetry which earned him his reputation, and this time in history when such a cultural intermingling among individuals is deemed acceptable.
