This was EXCELLENT!!! If anyone is looking for a book to read in September for #TitlesAndTunes I highly recommend this NF story about a #SmallTown in Pennsylvania who‘s known for its outstanding HS theatre department despite its school‘s lack of financial resources and backing. Apparently the TV series Rise was based off of the musical director, Lou Volpe. The author was a student of Volpe in the 70‘s & he goes back to cover Volpe‘s final year👇🏽

I know #high and drunk aren‘t exactly the same, but when I saw the prompt for QuotsyJuly18 I immediately thought of Auntie Mame, a book I recently read at the insistence of my brother. In the above quote, she has told her nephew to write down any words he doesn‘t understand, so he can improve his vocabulary. The words on his list illustrate her lifestyle perfectly! @TK-421

I‘ve derailed my #GenCon18 and bookclub reading because the Yuri on Ice movie has been announced for 2019 so I need a romance. I must be #high to keep book hopping but King did say “Books are a uniquely portable magic” and I need all the magic I can get.
