brandybear22 @kgriffith wait... what? Ah, do these read-a-24s happen often? Well yes, similar, but I‘d argue better @julesG. I mean, what with the ability to look over my shoulder and the in-the-moment commentary, surely it‘s all enhancement. 5y
julesG @brandybear22 Of course it's better than an audiobook. That's why I wrote similar. In my house the rule is also, my kids may craft while I read to them, but, since I am not an audiobook, they cannot play their noisy games while I read aloud. 5y
kgriffith @brandybear22 They seem to be cropping up all over on Litsy 🤓 Previously I‘ve only actively set aside the two weekends of @DeweysReadathon (April and October), but there‘s also @24in48 (January and July). And yes of course being read to in real time wins over an audiobook, particularly when cuddling is possible 😊 @julesG I think that‘s a perfectly reasonable rule, and I hope you get the occasional lovely crafted gift for your efforts! 5y
