panA disappointing read for me. The story did keep me in suspense after the first 100 pages, and there was one decent twist. What didn‘t work out for me was the less-than-original plot (the identity of the ‘killer‘ and whydunnit was meh), more than necessary references to noir films, flat characters, mediocre writing, and the weak ending. I was wavering between a so-so and a pan. 🤷♀️
