so-soThis was fun in theory and kind of meh in execution, especially once he got to comparing different types of fuel. The dietary stuff early in the book is the most interesting, although mostly not new to me.
Here's the #bookblanket motif for this one: "lobelia" (darker than I expected!) for the centre for a science book and "petrol" because I bought it in 2018.
I was just brought up short by the author commenting it's "foolish" to advise that it's unethical to patent a medical discovery. Gosh... I think it IS unethical to make a medical discovery impossible for people to access fairly, which is the end result of a lot of patents. But I guess I would consider it sage advice to say "patent it before someone else can and then allow anyone to use it"? I was kneejerk mad at the book, but now... pondering.
