pickIn a word, uneven. Bombastic, overstuffed with ideas, moments of brilliance and of tedium. Some highly quotable passages. Peppered VERY liberally with references to film, art, music, mythology and literature.
The 2016 U.S. Presidential campaign serves only as colourful set dressing. This garish backdrop is more interesting than the Gatsby-ish story in the foreground.
With so much crammed in there wasn't room to do justice to all of it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
