SqueakyChu First two chapters finished. It‘s so interesting. There are things I don‘t understand, but I guess those will be explained later. In addition, I took some time to look up information about Jesuits. 6y

Cinfhen We did a buddy read back in May and now I‘m reading the sequel...it‘s such a thought provoking beautiful book ( sequel too) it did take some time to settle into the story but it was so worth it!! I‘m pretty sure if you use #TheSparrowBuddyRead you will find the questions & discussions 6y

SqueakyChu @Cinfhen I‘m doing pretty good with the story so far. I‘m finding it interesting which is good since sci fi is not really my genre. I found the Buddy Reads but decided to postpone looking at them until after I finish the whole book. It shouldn‘t take too long! 6y

SqueakyChu So I‘m about 40% of the way through this book and am luke warm about it. I hope it gets better. The group is now traveling on their asteroid. They certainly don‘t seem like a very professional crew! 6y
SqueakyChu @Cinfhen I finished the book tonight. Wow! As I was reading it, I didn‘t think I liked it, but I was drawn into the story by predicting what I thought would be its outcome. I was completely wrong. It is a heart-wrenching story which seemed to take forever to develop. I‘m glad I stuck it out because the novel and its outcome were quite a moving experience. (edited) 6y
Cinfhen I‘m so glad you stuck with it!!! It‘s a really deep and powerful read. We just finished reading the sequel, which had some great moments of revelations.
