pickSo happy with this book. The audiobook was wonderful. Though I was a little disappointed with CLARIEL, GOLDENHAND gave me everything I was hoping for—new abhorsen mythology, visits with old friends, and a trip to the river of death. I hope that Nix continues writing and expanding this world because there really is nothing like it. 💙🗝💚✨ And as always, I'm still #TeamMogget. 🐱

anotherbookgirl I'm a little dismayed to hear that Clariel is disappointing. I haven't read it yet because I was thinking I should reread the original trilogy first. Good to hear it gets better with Goldenhand. Lirael is one of my favorite characters, so my hopes are pretty high for this one-I'm trying to temper my expectations so they aren't impossible to live up to. 8y

kdwinchester @anotherbookgirl Since CLARIEL is a prequel, I think you would pick up more reading CLARIEL then the trilogy then GOLDENHAND. At least for me, I often pick more up reading the story chronologically. And CLARIEL is def still worth reading! I think we all just have super high expectations. 😹 8y
