#BookNLunch! #SpoonfulSoupAndEats Edition! We're trying a new place in Milford, PA, while taking in the local music festival. Accompaniment this cool and calm afternoon: exquisite creamy Hungarian Mushroom soup, a Memphis savory hand pie (filled with BBQ pulled pork and sharp cheddar cheese), and Stewart's root beer. ( @MrBook ‘s “Lunch Crock” pastry is in the background). MMMMmmm 😋! (This place is GREAT!) Happy reads & happy eats!

Samplergal West African soup in Milford Pa? Wow. I‘m impressed. ( lived and went to undergraduate in pa.... know it) 6y
MrBook @Samplergal Milford is like, say, State College, a bit of a cultural oasis in a sea of forest and farmland. 😊 6y
Samplergal @MrBook the last time I was there 20 years ago it was not. Yay for progress! 6y

MrBook @Samplergal This town makes @BookBabe feel close to home, which is NJ suburbia. 👍🏻👍🏻 There's a bunch of galleries, cafes, gourmet and organic food places, cultural festivals, and the like. Library is in a beautiful new building. Hmmm, what's here that was here that long ago 🤔...the Milford Diner's still here. Hotel Fauchere, Dimmick's, and the Tom Quick Inn are of course still here. Was Fretta's Italian Specialties here then? (edited) 6y
