Today we stopped & explored Old New Gate Prison in East Granby.The underground copper mine , turned prison, was damp,with puddles & occasional drippings!The surrounding brownstone and brick are originals.Hiked on a short path through neighboring woods.Tagged book was first published in 1876.Expanded with new material in I996-Primary documents,photos, payroll & lists of prison inmates.I am excited!
