Seemed an appropriate pairing. 🍷📚 Think I‘ll finish the book or the bottle first? 🙃

saresmoore And yes, I realize that the wine refers to the Argentine revolution and also that this book predates the Russian revolution(s)...but the colors go together! 6y
Moray_Reads @saresmoore Dostoyevsky mentions socialism, close enough! 6y
vivastory I love Malbec. A few months ago I went to a wine shop & found a bottle with a 94 rating for 15$! Easily one of the best bottles I've ever had. 6y

saresmoore @vivastory We have a local wine shop that does really good pricing. I don‘t think this is a noteworthy one, but it sure is good! I‘ve yet to meet a Malbec I didn‘t like. 6y
Suet624 So artistic. 6y
Hollie Looks delicious! Cheers! 🍷 6y
LeahBergen I believe that pounding through the rest of the bottle will actually HELP you finish this book. 😆 6y
Cathythoughts I love Malbec & I‘ve never read that one .... one day 👍🏻❤️ 6y
saresmoore @LeahBergen I think you make a great point. 6y
saresmoore @Suet624 Gotta have a creative outlet, right? 😄 6y
saresmoore @Cathythoughts It‘s a great book, as in epic and groundbreaking, not as in “a fun summer read!” Although, I did do some reading of it by the pool. 😆 6y
Cathythoughts Dostoevsky by the pool ! 👍🏻why not !! I think he would be interested to see where his books have arrived in the future.... (edited) 6y
Cathythoughts I‘ve read The Idiot . And , Crime & Punishment... I cant imagine loving anything more than Crime & Punishment... I‘m afraid to even try ... never imagined a writer of such depth .. he taught me so much 💔 (edited) 6y
Moray_Reads @Cathythoughts I loved the Idiot and C&P. This one, not so much 6y
Moray_Reads @saresmoore I agree with @LeahBergen. Gin definitely helped me get through the last 200 pages 😂 6y
saresmoore @Moray_Reads The Idiot is up next for me on the Dostoevsky backlist, but I might take a break, first... 6y
