Only 2, because I really don't do horror (in fact I haven't seen the end of either of these movies!)

1. The Matrix
2. Pan's Labyrinth

#tlt @dabbe

Do you want to play @TrishB ?

TrishB I started to think about it and there isn‘t anything that has freaked me out since I was a kid/ in my teens in horror films. I can‘t believe you haven‘t finished The Matrix 😁 8mo
TrishB Don‘t make me watch true crime though- that‘s the scary stuff!! 8mo
jenniferw88 @TrishB both of these were at school, and I was aged about 15/16 then. It was the vats of blood (?) for The Matrix, and the monster with no eyes for Pan's Labyrinth (too scary even if you are watching the Spanish version! 😂) 8mo

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I also chose The Matrix 😳 8mo
dabbe @TrishB That's why THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS tripped me out! That shit can really happen! 😱 8mo
dabbe #1: Loved this series! I bet you could finish it now! 🤩
#2: Never saw PL; it's now on my October video list! 🧡🖤🧡

jenniferw88 @dabbe re: the matrix - doubtful! I'm needle-phobic, and medical/hospital horror/gore can trigger me because of my health issues. 8mo
dabbe @jenniferw88 Oh yeah, then stay away! Sorry to have brought you any angst! 🧡🖤🧡 8mo
jenniferw88 @dabbe it's ok! I wouldn't expect you to know about my phobia and triggers 😂😁 8mo
dabbe @jenniferw88 😮‍💨🤗😍 8mo

Mehso-so

This started of beautifully, and then it devolved into a simple narration of Years, without ever focusing on any plot string. Characters came and went, I never cared about anything, because time would just jump another 5 years ahead and it would be different anyway.

#Matrix @Kdgordon88 #historicalfiction

rachelsbrittain I kind of felt the same about this one tbh. Wound up being less interesting than I had hoped 2y

Mehso-so

This book checked off all my boxes, so it should have been a great read. Alas, it fell flat. I never did feel emotionally connected with any of the characters, in a positive or negative way. I was engaged enough to listen to the end and Groff does have some amazing descriptive powers, hence the so-so rating.

I‘m curious about Fates & Furies and it was available on audio so I‘m going to it check it out.

FelinesAndFelonies I was just meh on this one too. I felt like there were too many characters in the book. Their movement in and out of the story made it hard to connect with any of them. 2y
Ruthiella I‘ll be curious to hear what you think about 2y
Vansa Fates and Furies is excellent!! The characters are very well written and it's a beautiful narrative. How disappointing that this book doesn't seem as good! 2y

Tamra @Vansa I hope I like it! 🤞🏾 2y
Tamra @Ruthiella I‘m skeptical, but I‘m going to try it. 🤞🏾 2y
Tamra @FelinesAndFelonies I agree there were a lot of characters without focus. 2y
Cathythoughts I‘m still reading .. I agree .. there are parts that blew me away … but I‘m so - so as I get to the end. It will be a pick for me .. but not as brilliant as it started out. 2y
Cathythoughts I did love Fates & Furies .. would look forward to your thoughts on that one 2y
Tamra @Cathythoughts yes, it has some very good parts so I stuck with it! For me it just didn‘t live up to its potential. (Ha! I cringe with my commentary because I certainly can‘t write so who am I to judge?!) 🤪 2y
Tamra @Cathythoughts I hope it‘s a winner! 2y
Penny_LiteraryHoarders Didn‘t like Fates and Furies at all. LOVED The Monsters of Templeton. 2y
thewallflower0707 I finished #Matrix today and I have to agree with you. For me, it started very strong and then it just skipped over the most interesting part and just continued to be a list of new characters, characters who die, new projects, new visions. No actual story behind it 😔 2y
