Pickpick

Just what I needed after an emotional, busy 10 days. Got to stop today, breath & read a light but lovely read, with wine, love, family, loyalty, marriage- in beautiful Sonoma CA not far from where my brother lives in Penngrove. Also my #LitsytoZ #D #20. @BookishMarginalia

BookishMarginalia Sounds great! Stacked! 7y

ApoptyGina69 I liked this very much. I've been to Sebastopol and the descriptions are perfect. 7y

Eileen: A Novel | Ottessa Moshfegh

Mehso-so

I'm pretty sure Eileen could take the top spot for most reprehensible character. For a book that is almost exclusively about character development rather than plot, this can make for an uncomfortable and claustrophobic experience as Eileen's obsession with her body and its functions and her hatreds are told in the first person. The character of Rebecca who led to the plot twist felt unnecessary, leading to a rather disappointing finale. #LitsyToZ

Gleefulreader In related news: with the terrible world news, the dreary and dark weather and having recently read this and Pretty Is, I think I'm going to need a palate cleanser of the perkiest and happiest kind. (edited) 7y
saresmoore I'll agree with your self-assessment! Especially considering your Litsy handle, a palate cleanser sounds like a good choice! 7y
