pickTodays afternoon read with my girl “The Fire Dog Challenge”. Very cute, classic Clifford the Big Red Dog story line. (It followed the tv show episode to a T) 3.5/5 ⭐️
When you and the dog tell yourselves you will get up extra early to read before the rabble awakes and you actually do it 😁😴📚
so-soConsidering how prominent the dog is on the cover, I was really hoping he would get to play a bigger role.
The romance itself is only so-so. They had a lot of sex, but we hardly ever get to see them having a real conversation, so when one character tries to convince herself it‘s just a fling, it‘s hard to not believe her.
The writing is not great, but I enjoyed it. If you‘re looking for something mindless and fun, I recommend this one.
View of the East Troublesome Fire. This fire literally exploded last night going from just under 20,000 acres burned to almost 126,000 in less than 12 hours. The Fire is now my beautiful state‘s 4th largest, it has jumped the continental divide spreading into Estes Park and causing Rocky Mountain National to evacuate. My heart breaks for the people who‘ve lost their homes and to see these fires ravaging my home state. #COWildfires

The bookstore in the fire-ravaged village of Cobargo, New South Wales, has a new sign outside: “Post-Apocalyptic Fiction has been moved to Current Affairs.”
The photo above is of the historic village of Cobargo, at the end of December. I am thinking of everyone affected by the wildfires in Australia. My heart is sad.
