I‘ve really enjoyed the first few books in this series but I found this one an average read. Jack Carr is a good writer, well developed characters but this one just didn‘t grab my attention like the others. The main character James Reece continues to get his revenge and the book sets up the next in the series. I‘ll pick up the next one when it‘s written but for now I‘ll move on.

A British Crime Classic first published in 1944, being rereleased by Poison Pen on August 2, 2022.

I enjoyed this quaint mystery. How does someone get killed in a locked room? That's the premise of this book. I was wrong on all accounts 😂 Who and How!

First book read in #20in4 Readathon.

Great book all around. Relevant plot to todays day and age as well.

James Reece and his overly descriptive weaponry are at it again. The first few chapters had so much detail we laughed out loud. But once everyone was appropriately armed and the plot got rolling, it was a fast paced enjoyable adventure. The ending though. Major cliffhanger. But still a great listen. Special shout out to Ray Porter who does all the James Reece books. It wouldn‘t be Reece without him!

Grabbed this for $1 at my library. Sounded pretty good, so I figured I‘d snag it. Never read anything by him, so I‘m looking forward to reading this.

The fourth book in the James Reece series and it‘s good. The book again follows former SEAL James Reece on another adventure to save the United States. The book lost just a bit of the momentum compared to the first three but still very enjoyable.

I have loved every David Bell book I‘ve ever read but this one is my least favorite. It‘s probably because all of the characters (except for the baby) are so unlikeable. I wish I had a dollar for every time I thought, “why would you do something so stupid?” There was also a LOT of running around in this book - the main character seemed to spend an crazy amount of time running around town looking for folks because they didn‘t pick up the phone.

James Reece gets in more trouble, kills more people, saves the world again. Lots of very detailed weapons descriptions and lots of violence. Reliably exciting though.

Ex Navy Seal James Reece has a 3 pronged mission - punish 9/11 plotters, stop a deadly Bio Weapon attack, and find his family's killer. There's a senator who wants him to fail on all 3 fronts! But POTUS is firmly behind him along with the CIA.
Now all he has to do is track and exact revenge.. Not for the faint hearted though...

Savage Son is the third book in the series following the former Navy SEAL, James Reece. I really enjoyed this book as much as the author‘s previous two. It now has me waiting for the fourth book in the series which comes out later in 2021.
