The Book of Strange New Things: A Novel | Michel Faber

so-so

I really wanted to love this book. It started out so well, I were intriqued and excited. But then somewhere around the middle, it lost me a bit. It became a bit too religious, and it didn't feel like the sweeping, space-defying love story anymore. I were more interested in reading about what went on on Earth, and I think the addition of Bea's pov could have worked really well.

Sadly, this didn't live up to my #5startbrprediction

Kalalalatja @valeriegeary and I can see why people love it! I just keep expecting Faber's books to live up to the Crimson Petal, but so far, none of the others I've read have.. And I loooooove the cover 😍 7y

I have a feeling (a hope), that all of these books will be five star reads. I'm currently reading Exit West, and so far, so good 👌
