Now that Hades and Persephone have defeated and imprisoned the power-hungry Kronos once more, nothing can keep them apart, and years of being separated have only made their desire for each other grow. But the other Olympians cant help but meddle, pushing the pair to make things official with a coronationand a wedding. Ignoring the others who try to define their relationship, Hades and Persephone choose to take things at their own pace and focus on rebuilding the Underworld. Though Kronoss physical form is locked away, Olympus will never be free until they can rescue the child from the furious Titans grasp. To save the realms, Persephone must figure out her fertility goddess powers and embrace her role as Queen of the Underworldeven as it takes her further from her mothers expectations and her former place in the Mortal Realm. To absolutely no one's surprise, I loved it! As always this series earns my admiration with the balance of fantastical and down-to-earth, drama and healthy communication, ancient Greek myth and modern urban fantasy, the complex adaptation of mythical figures into people with flaws and traumas, the spectacular art and the healthy dose of humour and warm fuzzies.

Robotswithpersonality 2/2 Without going into spoilers, VERY important developments in key relationships occurred, and I am left wholly satisfied with the experience of this volume and equally eager to read the next one. Love, love, LOVE! ❤️

But…not only is this not the final installment, volume ten (which isn‘t out until JUNE) isn‘t either?!!!

I have serious rage right now. When I first started reading this, I thought it was intended to be a trilogy. 😫😖😤

See, this is why I don‘t read new releases. I have trust issues from this kind of stuff.

The second half of 2025 is turning into the year of disappointments. I loved Volume 8. This one is just okay. Ish. The story feels incredibly disjointed and there‘s something wrong with the artwork that I can‘t put my finger on. It‘s like the character appearances keep changing or different artists are drawing their own sections. It‘s still Lore Olympus, so yay for Persephone and Hades, but it‘s just blah. 😭

It‘s here!!!! Today‘s #bookmail packages seriously disappointed the kiddo, but I‘m so excited! I need several days of serious reading time to catch up on everything I‘m behind on, but sure, I can shoehorn this in, too. And now that Mate is here I can actually get around to Bride, right? Also, now that I‘m back home I need to get the library books back out that I didn‘t finish…
