America, Volume 2: A Narrative History (Brief)
America, Volume 2: A Narrative History (Brief) | George Brown Tindall, David E Shi
2 posts | 2 read
America has sold more than 1.8 million copies over the past eight editions because it s a book that students enjoy reading. Effective storytelling, colorful anecdotes, and biographical sketches make the narrative absorbing and the material more memorable. The Brief Ninth Edition is 20% shorter, and includes refreshed and updated coverage of African American history, and has been streamlined from 37 to 34 chapters. "

Pickpick

My American History II class covers 1877-present. Class is still on, but I‘m done with the book until finals. 😊 As far as textbooks go, Tindall & Shi write a readable book. It isn‘t dry/boring. In fact, I think this is the first textbook I‘ve actually enjoyed reading. The bonus quizzes through Inquizitive were a big help to solidify my understanding. (This is Rutherford B Hayes. We apparently have a history of epically bearded Presidents)

American History II, under way! If all goes well, I‘ll have my Associate of Arts degree in May! I finished my fall semester with a 4.0. I‘m hopeful, but I *am* taking College Algebra, so pray for me...😂😩
