No rest for the mommy. Gonna try to sneak in a few pages of Woman No. 17 this morning while the kids chill. ☕️📚

shawnmooney Adorable! 💜💜 And how are you finding Woman No. 17? I am doing the audio and am quite swept up in it! 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I love the box of little books! Teach them right from the start! Good job mommy! 👍 (edited) 7y

MicheleinPhilly OMG! How adorable! Can I eat those cheeks??? 7y
Smrloomis Soooo cute! 😁 7y
Reese_Pearly.Pages @shawnmooney So far I like it! Kind of into the unlikable women at the moment. Though I'm wondering how it'll play out. She doesn't seem to like children, yet she has two of her own. I don't think she ever wanted a family and doesn't know how to deal with it. 7y
Reese_Pearly.Pages @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I love that she's interested in books and will show them to her little brother. Sometimes she reads them out loud. No one know what she's saying, but it's the effort that counts. @MicheleinPhilly I literally eat them multiple times a day. It's powers me up! 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Reese_Pearly.Pages My niece used to do that when she was little, she'd bring me the book for her to read and since she couldn't read yet, she'd make up a whole story while she flipped the pages...that occasionally went sort of with the pictures. 7y
Reese_Pearly.Pages @Riveted_Reader_Melissa that is so adorable! My daughter is almost two. So some of it is still incomprehensible. Lol. 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Reese_Pearly.Pages I want to say she was about 3 at the time, enough she could make up a wild story, but couldn't read it yet. So give her time, it may be incomprehensible, but the stories will get more creative as time goes by. And extra benefit, you'll never get the same story twice! 👍 7y

Pickpick

This book is clearly for small children and whoever adapted the story of the movie to this tiny version knew they couldn't involve all of the complex elements of the movie plot and have its intended audience still understand. The whole part of Marlin & Nemo looking for Dory & the climax of the movie with the truck scene was left out, but for a child this perfectly summarizes the emotional resonance: Dory going home after she remembers her parents
