The Girl from Samos, or Samia, is one of the few "most complete" plays available from Menander's oeuvre. In saying that, it's still very much incomplete. But it's one I grew to like, because the sophistication & cleverness that critics talk about is on display here. I loved the little inter-textual elements, like characters referring to their own personal drama in relation to the Oedipus myth. This is a fitting end to my Greek classics journey.

Suet624 You‘re at the end? That‘s amazing. 1y
batsy @Suet624 Yes, it feels pretty great. It's the end as per the schedule I'm following of the classical canon, but there's more unfinished bits and pieces of Menander to discover :) 1y
