The Lost Deer Camp | 
pickTucker is mad at his parents for getting a divorce and after several weeks of constant troublemaking at school in Detroit is sent to stay in the U.P. with an aunt and uncle. He discovers an abandoned deer camp and works to solve the mystery of why his uncle refuses to talk about it. There‘s a strong theme of forgiveness as well as quite a bit of football and deer hunting in this story.

The longer I teach, the more I work with students to make audio available alongside print reading, especially for struggling & reluctant readers. This series is perfect for many of my reluctant readers that have difficulty finding books that interest them, but I can find no audio versions. So, I‘ve been recording chapters to a folder to share with students specifically while they have the print copy checked out.
