so-soThis is a fun ‘beach read‘ from 1978 about a mission to explore the ocean depths. I mostly read it for the experience: the ‘70s paperback smell, the feel of the yellowed pages, the dated but genuine scientific sentiments. It made me feel like a kid at my grandmother‘s house, staying up late to have my mind blown by some old thriller found on a shelf. It‘s nice to have a reminder of the special years when the love of reading really sinks in.
