so-soThis is the sixth book in a series but the first one that I have read, & it mainly works as a standalone. Although it was an interesting enough read & the plot was quite good, I have no desire to read the previous books as the characters just didn't appeal to me that much. For me to commit to a series there usually has to be some kind of wow factor & I just didn't feel that here. 3â
