High Grade Living
High Grade Living: A Guide to Creativity, Clarity and Mindfulness | Jacqui Lewis, Arran Russell
2 posts | 1 read
In an increasingly frenetic and fractured world, we have lost the essence of ourselves. This book is a guide to stripping away artifice in your life to discover your 'broad place', where you come into contact with your higher self as a creative and conscious human.High-Grade Living demonstrates how a strong foundation of meditation can benefit all areas of your life, from the home to relationships, creativity and happiness. The book examines how to audit, edit and refine your home through considered exercises on assessing excess and determining how well your possessions reflect who you are. Other prompts will help your creativity flow and establish how your words and actions embody who you want to be. Author Jacqui Lewis is a long-time practitioner of Integrated Meditation and founder of multiple businesses who has lived life at the extremes of stress and anxiety, and now teaches others the grounded, innovative and resilient approach that brought her back to herself.

Bailedbailed

I honestly gave it a go, and I‘m beginning to think it‘s me and I‘m in a reading slump. Unfortunately I won‘t be finishing this one.

LindaLappin interesting title though. may I ask what made you choose this book and why did you give up on it? 2y
Darklunarose @LindaLappin chosen because I‘m wanting to make life way more intentional, slowing it down, focusing on mental health etc. bailed, I‘m not sure…when I find books an utter chore to pick up and read it‘s a me thing. I could come back next year and do way better. My brain works odd like that. 2y
LindaLappin @Darklunarose sorry to reply so late. I know what you mean. I hadn't heard of this book, but will check it out.

LindaLappin @Darklunarose I looked it up on the publisher website: where I found: “The book examines how to audit, edit and refine your home through considered exercises on assessing excess and determining how well your possessions reflect who you are.“ I saw the exquisite photos, though it did look trendy, and I don't think I could edit my house to look like that! 2y
Darklunarose @LindaLappin me either to be honest. I like my lots of expression home. I guess I picked it up cause it‘s in the mental health section. On top of other issues with things I have severe anxiety, I‘m looking for ideas that fit me for that! This would cause me more anxiety. 2y
