so-soI really wanted to like this book because I have loved everything Amanda McKinney has written before but this one misses the mark for me. I didn‘t believe in, or even like, the characters, and the narrative bounced around between them with barely any difference in their tone. I couldn‘t tell which one was telling the story, and to be honest, I didn‘t care. Sad to say I won‘t be reading The Recluse which is next in this series.
