The Moon Won't Be Dared
The Moon Won't Be Dared | Anne Leigh Parrish
1 post | 1 read | 1 to read
The poems in the moon won't be dared by award-winning author anne leigh parrish ponder nature, love, ageing, and the impossible plight of women in a male-dominated society. Love and reverence for beauty blend with harsher truths of betrayal and brutality. Throughout, there is an overriding sense that life is full of magic, and that to wonder is a lovely gift.

Pickpick

I reviewed this book of #poetry last week on my blog for a book tour. I‘ve read several of the author‘s other book (short stories & novels) & really enjoyed savoring this collection of 90-ish poems about womanhood, nature, longing & loss. The artwork by Lydia Selk, an analog artist from the Pacific Northwest, matched the vibe of the poems. I am not a critical reviewer of poetry quality—I just know what I like & many of these poems spoke to me.🌙🧡
