For Richer, for Poorer
For Richer, for Poorer | Kerry Wilkinson
1 post | 1 read
For better, for worse . . .For Richer, For Poorer is the tenth title in the compulsively readable Jessica Daniel crime series by Kerry Wilkinson.Three houses have been burgled in five weeks. The robbers barge in through the back, disable any way to contact the outside world, and then ransack everything - before distributing the stolen cash to local charities. It might be robbing from the rich to give to the poor - but Detective Inspector Jessica Daniel is not a happy bunny. The new DCI has a whiteboard with far too many things on the 'unsolved' side and he wants the burglars found. Doesn't he know she has other things to do?There's a lottery winner who's gone bankrupt, the homeless teenager she's taken in, the botched drugs raid, a trip to London with DC Archie Davey, and a man-mountain Serbian with a missing wife who's been pimping out young women.

Mehso-so

I was mildly bored by this one for 2 reasons: 1. I didn‘t think enough time was spent dealing with the fallout from the previous entry and 2. It was a case revolving around human trafficking. I feel like I JUST read a similar storyline in another series. But truthfully, it could have been 2 years ago. What is time anymore? He did manage to genuinely shock me with that ending though, so well done Kerry. #SeriesRead2021
