Kristin Dwyer certainly has a way with writing emotion.

I like it.
The story was interesting.
Young teenage romance and drama.
Easton and Ellis are friends since they were 5 years old. Ellis is practically living at the Albrey's. Her parents are almost never present. Something happens between East and Elle and stop talking to eachother for a year. When Elle comes back to town to celebrate East mother's 50th birthday, many things left unspoken between them will finally be said.
I‘m surprised by how much I like this debut YA contemporary story about found family, first love, & the heartbreak of decision(s) that change everything. Surprised, because I REALLY like it with all its teen angst (there‘s a lot), inexplicable teen decisions (wow are there some decisions), & family function/dysfunction but it works because it‘s authentic & believable. The how of everything is sometimes 🤨 but the story is great. On sale 4/26/22.
Wow. I devoured this book in 24 hours. The angst and tension built for me at the 25% mark and stayed on HIGH all the way through the end. It was absolutely beautiful. With complex characters and the high stakes of first love. It left me feeling all the feelings and quickly earned a place on my favorites shelf. Preorder this one friends!
