Maybe I'm just too distanced from young adult drama, but something about the choices made and even the pace of the reconciliation bugged me. Good art, enjoyed the almost water colour tinting in a limited palette.

My December wrap up! Overall, lots of so-so books. I also had a lot more bails than usual due to poor Christmas book selection 😏

My Last Summer with Cass
Megan spends two weeks in New York with her childhood best friend Cass, but finds herself having to choose between their powerful friendship and something else she values. What a stunningly beautiful graphic novel! Every pannel was a treat to look at, and their friendship was fun to exolore.I absolutely loved this. (I also couldn't stop thinking that Megan looks a lot like Disney's Ariel.) #Comic #Friendship #Artist
The strongest part of this book was how it portrayed a complicated friend dynamic. It really highlighted the highs and the lows of their friendship well.
Overall, I enjoyed this graphic novel, but ultimately was left wanting more. If you like art or are an artist yourself, you may like this one!
