I really enjoyed this one….2 lifelong friends struggle in the aftermath of a battle against great evil, to overcome trauma, find and trust themselves again, and see if their childhood friendship can survive and adapt to their current circumstances….maybe it can‘t, maybe they‘ve grown to much in different directions and what was past is lost…. or maybe, just maybe, they can reconnect, become something different together, something even better.

I love the Guild Hunter series so it should be no surprise that this was a pick!

The book focuses on Aodhan and Illium from Raphael‘s Seven. Splitting between two timelines, one when they met as children through to adulthood, and one in the present where they are helping the new Archangel of China.

I love all the pairings in this series, but this one was truly special after so many centuries (and following them in so many books!)

Perfect, in my opinion this story was absolutely perfect and the emotions that Nalini Singh dragged out of me in the last chapter had me crying the happy tears. I‘ve loved Illium and Aodhan throughout this series, over ten years of reading these guys.

There‘s a lot going on in this book with the new archangel of China and finding secrets popping up all over.

Illium and Aodhan are two of my favorite characters, so it was absolutely lovely getting a book centered around them. We get to see their past and present in this book. We last left them with a bump in their friendship. As they reforge their relationship, it forges a little different. It's a great friends to lovers story. It's urban fantasy, so be aware the matter these two angels are investigating is very dark and gruesome.

If you hear me squealing through the Litsy app, it's because I was just approved for an ARC of Archangel's Light. I've been so so so eager for this book.🤩
