This is the second book in this series, and it‘s even better than the first. Rachel Marin is a kick ass, take no prisoners PI. She works with police department, but isn‘t afraid to step out of bounds. Ponzi scheme, mobsterish bad guys, offshore accounts, murder, secrets. A suspenseful read. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cathythoughts Sounds good. I must investigate this one 👍😄 5mo

3.5 (almost 4 stars) - This was a good follow up to the first book in the Rachel Marin series. I'd recommend reading Hide Away first as some parts of Rachel's past creep into this book. Good tension, rather grisly murder but a memorable main character in Rachel.

4⭐️ Really liked it. Felt that it went a little slower in the middle, but finished strong and made me wanting more of the series. #2021 #fiction #bookreview #bookstagram #thriller #rachelmarin #suspense #bookspinbingo

The day Matthew Linklater was murdered, he taught three social studies classes, caught Becca Matheson and Steve D‘Agosta making out in the north stairwell, refused to loan his sister any more money on account of the fact that she‘d already borrowed nearly six grand from him and there was as much chance of getting repaid as there was of finding coffee on the moon, and responded to three messages on dating apps on his lunch break. #firstlinefridays

Since it‘s Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and my days are filled up, my plan is to read during the evening hours. I hope to finish the tagged book and hopefully start my #bookspin book for October.
