One of Free Sync audiobooks this year, I read it to fulfill a during wartime requirement. I enjoyed it, such a daunting task he faced, and so much luck with people helping to look out for him, though so much danger still. I recommend it.

On Two Feet and Wings | Abbas Kazerooni

Even with all the lights at the airport, the night outside looked dark and the air seemed thick. I wiped my eyes and tried to figure out what I could do. I was alone in a foreign land at the age of nine, and I did not speak the language. I was, quite simply, terrified.

True tale of Abbas and his escape from war to Turkey and then UK. At just 9/10 years old, he learns to fend for himself in a foreign country with the help of a few new friends.

Love love love this book! It was one that I read overnight and was too good to put down.
