Suzie‘s day goes from bad to worse but a little terrier turns up at her door. Abandoned, just like Suzie, she takes the dog in calling it Scout. Her chaotic world begins to change with new friendship and now she can‘t wait to get home. A chance encounter on a windswept beach makes life even more complicated.
It was lovely to see how Scout helped create so many different relationships
A funny, uplifting story about friendship and new beginnings.

A light fluffy read for a dark, wet autumn night 🍁

I can‘t believe I‘m saying this about a dog story, but this just wasn‘t for me. It dragged on and took way too long to get to the romance. It‘s told from the perspectives of both MCs and was way repetitive. One POV probably would have sufficed, or perhaps this would have worked better as a novella.

⭐⭐⭐⭐Thanks to #netgalley and #avonbooksuk for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. A delightful, heartwarming read I found myself smiling as I read about Scout and how this bedraggled stray little dog appears at just the right time when Suzy needs to feel the unconditional love of a dog the most. Scout brings the people of this community together in a most disarmingly charming way a hug in a book.

Soft pick.

First half is a bit slow, but then it's quite cute.

Two middle aged singles 'fighting' over a stray dog they found on the beach.

I'm currently reading The Dog Share and so far it's good, although not as romance focused as I thought... My dog Paco prefers me paying attention to him instead of my kindle though. 🙈😂🐶
