John Bunyan was a 17th-century English Baptist preacher and Christian author. Bunyan served over 12 years in prison for holding religious meetings outside of the Church of England. Bunyan was a prolific writer and is best known today for The Pilgrim's Progress, a classic Christian allegory. A Treatise of the Fear of God is a book in which Bunyan details how Christians should walk in fear before him.
