3 posts | 2 read | 1 to read
Every Halloween, an elderly woman hands out candy to a young trick-or-treater who's dressed as a witch each time, looking exactly the same age. With each passing year, the woman grows more attached to the little witch and her odd nature. But she is no ordinary child, and an uncanny relationship develops between the two of them that may prove dangerous and deadly. I think I forgot to mention I‘m doing the #20in4 readathon this weekend. I‘m at 14:41 after yesterday and I‘ve got tons of stuff I want to read today, starting with the penultimate story in SOME OF THE BEST FROM TOR.COM: 2020 EDITION.

I might be a few days late in reading this little story, but I wanted something quick and it was available to read for free on Tor's website. I rather enjoyed this atmospheric little tale about an older woman who is visited by a little witch each Halloween and how the connection they share changes things. #votedearlyreadathon
