Another really good book in this historical fiction series. I enjoy this series but it is not a series for the high brow historical fiction fan. These are fast paced reads within the historical context with a hero who can do little wrong, although he almost did in this one. Possibly a bit romanticised for the GB side of things and downplay the French. Also loves to rescue a damsel in distress. These are more of a romp style. But loving them.

I enjoyed book 2 so much that I have moved straight onto book 3 in this enjoyable series set during the War of the Spanish Succession in the early part of the 18th Century. #SeriesLove2023 @TheSpineView
