New month = Fresh Start

Similar goals to June. Maybe if I try to read fewer books, I'll exercise a little more. I am also trying to make a cabinet in my office into a standing desk to see if that helps with some sluggishness.

aperfectmjk I started doing yoga. I think it's the best thing for me considering I sit for a living. I'm not trying to lose weight personally, I'm trying to strengthen my muscles and build overall stamina. I'm prone to throwing my back out. Anyway, I've lost 4 lbs in week just from doing Yoga. Who knew. Good luck with your goals! ✊️ 2y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @aperfectmjk That's great! I sit a lot between work, reading, and TV time with my guy so I agree that yoga is a great counterbalance. I think any new physical activity is bound to change your body enough to lose a few pounds. 2y
aperfectmjk @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick if only I had started it sooner. I've been dealing with a lot of stress at work, so I figured I needed to make some changes. I guess it was too little too late, I now have shingles. My body's way of saying enough is enough, time for a break. 2y

June was not my best health month. I am glad I lost something, but not before going up about 2 pounds because I can eat like an unsupervised toddler at a buffet. 🤣 I struggle to prioritize my exercise and too easily cancel it. I would be tempted to just forget to post an update if I tracked workouts this month.

My reset goals are simple... read and lose 5 pounds. Since weightloss is my ultimate goal, I am finally giving myself a small loss goal to strive for. Doing yoga, new recipes, mealprepping...it only works when it all comes together. Giving myself 1 small goal will hopefully remind me to make healthy choices everyday.

Yes, I did just put my current weight on the internet. I'm going for accountability & easy tracking.

After about 5 weeks of slacking off, I need to get back into the swing of things. My muscles & joints feel a bit tight already from all my inactivity. I found a few 30-Day challenges to target arms, abs, thighs, and booty so I'll see how far I get with that. I'm realistic that I may skip a day here & there as I get used to the moves so if I can get 20 days completed I'll be happy.

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @wanderinglynn I found them on Blogilates.com and she has a lot of different toolstvideos for free. I am starting with the challenges but then might try other workouts. Good luck getting back into it. 2y

❌I did a little better in February. I didn't do 12 yoga sessions due to transferring a property to another DOS and a strained muscle, but 7 were completed plus a few other days to try routines to focus on legs/abs & arms.
✔9 books finished YAY!
✔2 new recipes (Eggplant Parm and Chicken & Spinach lemon Skillet with penne) & we made a few minor tweaks to a newish recipe by adding garlic ro the tortellini dish. All yummy.

January threw me a few curveballs: mild Covid that zapped my energy & focus more than anything else; that cancelled a work trip so I had to remotely train a returning coworker, & my guy's car was in the shop so my days got longer as I played chauffeur & ran all the errands. I only did 8 yoga workouts, but took extra dog walks. No brand new recipes but I did eat more salads & veggies. With 40 pages left of book 8, I'm calling that a goal achieved.
