I went back and forth on this book. Shea repeats stories and stats so frequently, it feels like a grandparent telling the same stories to the grandkids over and over. However, that‘s also the charm of the book. Willie Mays wanted to talk about people other than himself, and did he ever. It‘s hit or miss by chapter, but the hits - just like all of Mays‘ - are memorable indeed.
