I‘m sitting in a local coffee shop reading ACOTR and I am wondering how you would design a coffee shop. Would you want spaces where someone could read for hours on end and be comfortable, where the music would be barely noticeable? Or would you want high turnover? I‘m curious as to what you say.
ChaoticMissAdventures Good coffee, good people, plenty of seats. That is what I look for in a coffee shop myself. From years of retail I have an aversion to "comfy" (cloth) furniture - it is disgusting, people are gross. So I would probably only have wooden seats, but those can be comfortable if you get good quality! 2mo
Tamra I‘m not a big coffee shop patron, but definitely music unnoticeable with art & books. 😁 2mo
CindyMyLifeIsLit Therein lies the rub! As patrons, we want that comfortable setting that lures us to hang out for hours; as proprietors, a table monopolized for hours with only 1-2 drinks sold per person during that time means lower profits which endangers the existence of the business. My son owns a small coffee shop where space is at a premium. He would love to have a larger shop where there was room for people to linger for hours, but is not quite there yet! 🤞 2mo
