A vicious killer, becoming more unstable by the minute, is taking out his victims one by one in search of valuable information that will help him execute his final act of revenge on the man who forever ruined his world and irrevocably altered his future. The normally placid town of Pine Acres, Connecticut has never seen anything like this and the normally calm residents are scared and rattled. An unassuming fourteen year-old Joey Gobble has nothing more than a tattered old children's book called THE HAPPY PLACE, which was read to him as a child by his mother to use to help him stop the raving madman. Together with his three friends- Toby, Sarah and Madison- Joey has to identify the killer and then somehow out-think him as he and his friends are propelled into a maelstrom of escalating events that will cause them to tap into every ounce of brain-power, intuition and courage they can muster to try valiantly to save the lives of untold thousands. THE HAPPY PLACE is an excursion into fantasy, mystery and high-speed adventure, complete with twists, turns and surprises as the tension intensifies to an unsuspected climax that very few see coming.
